The Actor's Workshop of Sacramento is a school for actors of all levels of experience to develop their craft. The Workshop offers private and group acting classes for children, teens and adults. We also have a summer theater camp for kids and teens, taught by award-winning acting coach Ed Claudio.
Weekly, continuing classes include adult scene study and a teen acting workshop. Private acting classes can be tailored to the student's schedule and interests. Please contact us for more information.
The affiliated Actor's Theatre of Sacramento has staged hundreds of plays, including classic works by Shakespeare and Chekhov; great 20th century American works by Tennessee Williams and Arthur Miller; and modern plays, including full-scale productions by local playwrights. The theater also produces annual one-act play festivals and teen and children's shows performed by Workshop students. Click here for information about upcoming productions.
Ed Claudio’s theatrical career spans more than forty years as a producer, director, acting instructor, playwright, and actor. He has appeared in more than 150 plays and has produced and/or directed more than 100 full length plays and more than 200 one-acts throughout the United States and Europe.
Ed is a winner of the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission Theatre Award for Arts Education, an award given in theater once every 6 years. For Ed's complete biography please click here.
